On to the outfit details – Another rendition of my take on ‘9 to 5 fash’. Luckily, I work at a magazine so I don’t have to dress-up like this or in full business attire everyday, and honestly when I wore this to work I felt overdressed. But rather overdressed than underdressed, right? Sometimes it makes me feel good to dress like a full grown adult. Stroke of the ego, maybe. I loved these pants when I saw them. It was the plaid + colors that really got me. They’re J. Crew but were actually thrifted, and in perfect condition – tags attached and all. It was a deal I couldn’t refuse – cheap + quality? I had to snatch them up, obviously.

For some reason I love the look of a turtleneck paired with a blazer. Whether for casual or more formal purposes, the combo always just does it for me.

At first I didn’t too much care for the way the pants fell onto the platform bluchers, but it ended up growing on me. Plus, all pulled together, I got to feel like a part of The Beatles for a day.

God is love, love is r e a l.
& this is where it all fits into, well… the Gray scheme of things.

The look:

plaid trousers, J. Crew (Old) – similar here and here

navy platform bluchers, Zara

  1. I totally lovveee this look! You know I’m girly when it comes to my style but I love how you put together the plaid nd the platform shoes! Been trying to get an edgy outfit together with platforms for the longest lol so thanks for putting this outfit together to kind of give me an idea of how I can spice it up without doing the most. Xoxo
